Announcement bars and countdown banners for GoHighLevel

The strip above the header is the cheapest real estate on the page and the most misused. One message, one link, a reason to act now. Used well it carries the offer to every visitor before they have read a word of the hero.

Three shapes cover it. Announcement Ribbon scrolls several short messages past a badge. Countdown Bar puts a live deadline next to a button. Dismissible Banner is a single quiet line with a link and a close button, for news that should not nag.

Countdown Bar

A full-width promo bar: an icon and a headline, a live countdown in small tiles, and a button on the right. It stacks and centres on a phone, can pin to the top of the published page, and can be closed.

Dismissible Banner

A single-line notice in a rounded bar: an icon, a bold headline, a quieter line after it and an underlined link, with a close button. A visitor who closes it doesn't see it again for as long as you choose, and changing the headline shows it to everyone again.

How to use them

How to add an announcement bar in GoHighLevel

  1. 01

Pick the bar by the job

Several things to say: the ribbon. A deadline: the countdown. One notice a visitor should be able to wave away: the banner.

  2. 02

    Set the deadline honestly

Countdown Bar runs per visitor, where each person gets their own deadline remembered in their browser, or to a fixed date and time in a time zone you choose. Decide what happens at zero: show a message, hide the bar, or hold.

  3. 03

    Wire the link

The link or button takes the full click-action list, so it can open a popup, go to the next step, scroll to the offer or load a URL.

  4. 04

    Let people close it

A close is remembered in the visitor’s browser for the number of days you set. On Dismissible Banner, changing the headline shows it to everyone again, so a new announcement is not hidden by an old close.

  5. 05

Pin it and check the phone

Each bar can pin to the top of the published page with an offset. Set the mobile height and text size separately: a line that fits on a desktop wraps on a phone.

Questions

Announcements, answered

Is the countdown evergreen or a fixed date?
Either. Per-visitor mode gives each person their own deadline, remembered in their browser, and can restart once it ends. Fixed mode counts to one date and time in a chosen time zone for everyone.
Will a visitor who closed the bar see it again?
Not until the number of days you set has passed. The close is stored in the visitor’s own browser, so nothing is tracked on a server.
Does the bar stay at the top while scrolling?
It can. Pinning is a setting with its own offset, and it applies on the published page, not on the builder canvas.
