Everything it does
- fourteen textures
- texture colour and opacity in one picker
- separate colour for dark sections, detected from the section itself
- pattern size, line and dot thickness
- rotation
- slow drift in five directions with speed
- section, row, column or custom-class targeting
- behind content, above other backgrounds or over content
- blend, edge fade and corners
- builder selection label
How it actually behaves
Every texture is CSS gradients (film grain is an inline SVG noise tile) at whole-pixel tile sizes, so a slow drift loops without a seam. The texture colour's opacity is how strongly it shows, and on a dark section it switches to its own light colour automatically.
How to add Texture Overlay to a GoHighLevel page
- 01
Open the element panel
In the page builder, click the + button to add a new element.
- 02
Go to Widget Marketplace
In the left menu, select Widget Marketplace.
- 03
Find Animated Elements
Locate the Animated Elements widget by Funnelslayer in the installed apps list.
- 04
Drag and drop it into the page
Drop the widget where you want it. The Web Widget Settings modal opens on the element gallery: "Select an element to start with".
- 05
Select an element and continue
Choose an element (Animated Counter, Typing Animation, and more), then click Continue. Search by name or by what it does, or use the category rail on the left to narrow the list. You can switch elements later without losing your settings.
- 06
Customize it
Use the element's settings to customize everything to match your brand. The live preview updates as you go, with separate desktop and mobile views.
- 07
Set the page up once
Add the Page Settings element once, near the top of the page. It holds your brand colors, the page fonts, the border new elements start with, and how the page scrolls: a styled or hidden scrollbar, smooth scrolling to linked sections, an eased mouse wheel, a scroll progress bar and the text selection color. Every other element can link its colors to a brand color, so changing one repaints the whole page. It renders nothing for visitors, and it is optional: without it, every element keeps the colors it was given.
Common questions
- Does the animated background show up as an empty block on my page?
- No. On a published page the widget root has no height and renders nothing for visitors, so only the background itself is visible. Inside the builder it shows a small labelled pill so the element stays selectable.
- Will a canvas background hurt performance?
- They are built to stay cheap. Flickering Grid, for example, pauses when scrolled past and in background tabs, and can render a coarser grid on phones. You can also set its re-roll rate to zero for a completely static pattern that still fades and blends.
- Why does it cover the section instead of being placed inside it?
- GoHighLevel owns the section subtree and re-renders it when a foreign node appears, which would break every other animated element in the same section. The canvas therefore ships inside the widget’s own markup and is positioned over the target rather than inserted into it.
Flickering Grid
A grid of squares that flicker behind your section. Drop it anywhere inside the section and it paints the section itself. The widget stays invisible on the live page. Targets a section, row, column or any class you name.
Animated Grid Pattern
Crisp SVG grid lines with seeded cells that softly pulse, relocate and repeat across a section, row, column or custom target. Includes independent mobile density, masks, blending and performance controls.
Background Beams
Beams of light travelling along a fan of curved rails across your section. Drop it anywhere inside the section and it paints the section itself. The widget stays invisible on the live page. Targets a section, row, column or any class you name.
Molten Metal
A self-contained WebGL caustic field with three-colour molten lighting, pointer distortion, responsive detail and a deterministic no-JS fallback.
Gradient Waves
A raymarched horizon of rolling gradient waves behind your section. Three colours from the distance to the crest, haze depth, film grain and pointer parallax, with its own mobile field of view and detail.
Dithered Gradient
A dithered WebGL gradient with stepped colour bands, drifting noise, ordered Bayer pixels, and full section targeting.
Silk Aurora
A dark silk WebGL background with aurora ribbons, pearlescent glints, grain and pointer-reactive movement.
Liquid Chrome
A fluid chrome WebGL background shaped by domain-warped noise and bright metallic highlights.
Shape Waves
A WebGL section background: a breathing grid of tiny shapes that ripples and lights up under the pointer, with an optional word cut out.
Ghost Fibers
A WebGL section background of fine luminous strands twisting round a soft glow, with grain, a vignette and a light-page style.
